Revan — front-end engineer and maker
I'm Revan. I build product UI in React and services in NestJS, then design, print and wire the hardware they talk to. Scroll, and my printer builds a robot arm while you read.
This page normally runs a 3D print job as you scroll. Without JavaScript, here is the same content as text.
The first layer goes down.
I work where software meets hardware: a component tree in the morning, a CAD assembly after lunch, ESP32 firmware by the evening. The throughline is turning a spec into something that actually runs. Based in: Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq. Open to: Front-end and full-stack roles, remote-friendly. Day job: React, TypeScript, NestJS. Bench: CAD, 3D printing, robotics and IoT.
State in, pixels out.
Product UI in React and TypeScript, backed by NestJS services with typed contracts end to end. I own the unglamorous parts too: auth, validation, budgets, tests. Front-end: React 19, TypeScript, Vite, React Three Fiber, Tailwind CSS, Zustand. Back-end: NestJS, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, NATS, REST / gRPC.
Off the bed, into the gripper.
Kappy is my own printer, designed in Fusion 360. When the print finishes, the bed slides forward and a UR5-class cobot lifts the figurine off its supports. CAD and printing: Fusion 360, Parametric design, DFM, FDM tuning, PLA / PETG / ABS, PrusaSlicer. Robotics and IoT: ESP32 / Arduino, MQTT, BLE, Control loops, Sensors, Robot arms.
Three machines. Open any of them.
Every model on this page is real geometry at real scale. Pick one to orbit it, explode it and read its spec. Kappy: My own bedslinger: Y bed, Z gantry, X toolhead. Modelled part by part in Fusion 360, printed in graphite PETG. UR5: UR5-class 6-axis cobot, 850 mm reach, replaying a collision-checked path. SO-ARM101: An open-source 6-axis desktop arm (Apache-2.0). The same arm is on the bed at 1:4, printed in PLA.
Selected work.
Kappy: A bedslinger 3D printer designed from a blank Fusion 360 file, down to the toolhead. The Print Job: This site: a scroll-driven WebGL scene where the printer above builds a robot arm. Sufra: An offline-first halal meal planner: Kurdish recipes, days balanced to your calories and protein. Bookmarks API: A NestJS REST API with JWT auth, Prisma on PostgreSQL and an end-to-end test suite. Super Chat: A real-time chat on Firebase: sign in, find and follow people, then message them. E-shop: A multi-store shop builder: create stores and categories, add products, then browse and search them.
Print complete. Let's build the next one.
